华中农业大学食品科技学院中心实验室建立于1985年,是食品科技学院研究生教学与科研通用的大型仪器设备共享平台,坐落于食科楼二楼、三楼、四楼和五楼,总占地面积约800平方米,仪器设备总价值超过2200万元。根据功能布局,设有:(1)理化分析平台,可进行食品类样品的化合物定性、定量分析、物性学分析、感官分析以及分子表征等实验;(2)微生物平台,可进行相关微生物培养、鉴定等实验;(3)基础化学平台,可进行食品成分分析和细胞培养相关实验。

中心实验室始终坚持服务第一和开放式管理的管理理念,致力于完善大型仪器设备的共享管理机制,不断提高实验室管理水平,做好对本院师生的服务工作,促进学院科研工作的进一步发展。同时对社会开放,最大程度利用和开发大型仪器设备功能。

The central laboratory of college of Food Science and Technology in Huazhong Agricultural University was first established at 1985. The lab, which located in the Food science building, has about 800 square meters area and all the equipment worth over 22 million. It provides a very important teaching and researching place for the graduate students. The laboratory is divided into three different parts based on the function of the equipment: i, the physical and chemical analysis platform, which can provide qualitative and quantitative analysis, the physical property analysis, the sensory analysis and molecular characterization analysis of food samples; ii, the microbiological analysis platform, where cultivating and identifying the microorganism can be done; iii, the fundamental chemical analysis platform, in which food composition analysis and cell culture can be carried.

Our lab insists on the service first concept and open management mode. We aim to improve the sharing mechanism of large equipment management, and then enhance our laboratory management level, in order to promote further development of researching work in our college. Meanwhile, our laboratory is open to the society, which is beneficial for making the best use of the equipment.
